Day 1 October 22, 2017: ARRIVAL IN ROME

Ciao and welcome to Italy! Upon your arrival at Rome Fiumicino airport, you will be welcomed by an English speaking assistant and driver that will take you to your hotel, in the historical city center. You will have free time to explore the wonders of Rome, shop the boutiques, sip a cappuccino at a local cafe or rest up before our welcome dinner in the evening. Tonight you'll enjoy a meal in a typical Roman Trattoria. Mangia!  Overnight in Rome.

Breakfast in the hotel. Today you'll discover Ancient Rome. An English speaking guide will join you in our private coach as you visit the Roman Forums, the Palatine and the Colosseum, the largest amphitheater built in the Roman Empire - highlights of any visit to Rome.

In the afternoon, you'll discover another side of Rome and visit the neighborhood of Testaccio, on an escorted, walking food tour.

Testaccio is no-holds-barred Rome and it is serious about food! You'll experience the city like a local on a 4 hour tour that includes nine authentic food stops with 12 delicious tastings. We'll escape the tourist crowds and taste the best the city has to offer - gelato, cheese, pastries and pasta - we'll try it all! Along the way, your guide will entertain and educate you with stories and insights into Rome's culture and history, while exploring the city's most fascinating and offbeat landmarks.

The rest of the day and evening are at leisure and allow you time to explore the beauty of Rome at night - throw a coin in the Trevi fountain or take a break on the Spanish Steps. Enjoy some authentic gelato while strolling through one of the many piazzas or try an aperitivo with the locals at one of the many cafes. The wonders of Rome await!  Overnight in Rome.

Day 3 October 24, 2017: VATICAN TOUR ( with skip the line pass)

Breakfast in the hotel. After breakfast, you'll be met by a guide for a visit to the Vatican Museums where you will skip the line and head straight in. A local's perspective will help us to see beyond just the Sistine Chapel and help us gain a real understanding of all the ancient wonders, Renaissance masterpieces and treasures, untold, throughout the museums.

You'll cover the best of the Vatican Museums collection, the Sistine Chapel and a fully guided tour of St. Peter's Basilica, giving the Vatican City the time and attention it deserves, without the long wait in line. Overnight in Rome.

You'll have time to relax and enjoy the scenic views and charming shops. Dinner is on your own. Overnight in Sorrento.

After breakfast, we'll have the opportunity to meet with a local mozzarella cheese farmer. This is NOT your store bought cheese! You'll be shown the process, step by step, and can even try your hand at making your own mozzarella. You'll taste samples of some typical, local cheese like you've never tasted before. Afterwards, we'll travel along the breathtaking, winding roads of the Amalfi coast to the stunning cliffside town of Positano. You'll have time to explore at your leisure before heading back to your hotel. Tonight we'll gather for a farewell dinner in a local restaurant and enjoy our last bit of time in this amazing part of Italy. Overnight in Sorrento.
